Online MBA Ranks Among Nation’s Best Programs

News

Already internationally accredited, the Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program at CSU Stanislaus was recently ranked among the best programs of its kind in the nation by the Affordable Colleges Foundation.

Affordable Colleges analyzed more than 500 online MBA programs — which are designed to allow working professionals the opportunity to advance their education on a flexible schedule — using criteria related to quality, cost and student support. The CSU Stanislaus program ranked No. 28.

“‪Flexibility and affordability in online MBA programs is important, but quality cannot be ignored,” said Dan Schuessler, founder and CEO of the Affordable Colleges Foundation. “The online MBA programs on our list offer students the same level of academic excellence and student support that is expected of campus-based programs.”

The programs in the Affordable Colleges list were ranked based on factors such as student-to-faculty ratio, percentage of faculty who hold a Ph.D., number of online MBA options, number of MBA degrees conferred and cost of tuition of the online MBA program.

Katrina Kidd, director of the Online MBA program at CSU Stanislaus, said the Affordable Colleges ranking confirms what she hears from students who have gone through the program.

“The CSU Stanislaus Online MBA is an excellent choice for busy working professionals who require autonomy and flexibility for coursework,” Kidd said. “Student feedback indicates they feel the environment is similar to a real classroom and that they are able to connect with the faculty and fellow students.”

Sue Alvarez is a single mom who works as an escrow officer. She said the CSU Stanislaus online MBA program, which is offered through University Extended Education, allowed her to further her education and make progress in her career despite the many demands she juggles on a daily basis.

“What I liked most about the online MBA program was the convenience and flexibility of being able to work on school assignments around my schedule,” she said. “I also liked how interactive the classes were. I made some great connections in the program and found that classes were just as engaging as the ones on campus. Obtaining my MBA helped me take my career to the next level.”
